Pro-Life Advocates Help Save Teen From Forced Abortion

4 11 2010

The Christian Institute is reporting that some pro-life advocates in Texas successfully intervened on behalf of a pregnant 16-year-old whose parents were trying to force her to have an abortion.

Neither the 16-year-old girl, who is 14 weeks into her pregnancy, nor the child’s father wanted the baby to be aborted.

But the girl’s parents felt differently and on two separate occasions her mother forcefully took her to local abortion facilities in an attempt to end the pregnancy.

Lawyers from the Alliance Defense Fund (ADF) stepped in to protect the teenage girl and her unborn child.

And as a result of the intervention the girl’s parents have now signed a court order agreeing that they won’t force their daughter to have an abortion.

The girl, who has not been named, became even more determined to protect her unborn child after she received information from a pro-life advocate praying outside of one of the abortion facilities she was taken to.

Lily Allen Loses Baby

1 11 2010

Very sad news today. Singer Lily Allen has lost her baby, with whom she had been pregnant for six months. This was her second miscarriage in three years. She had been due to give birth in January.

I googled “Lily Allen Miscarriage” and clicked on quite a few of the pages that came up in the search, and every website used the word “baby”. Not “fetus”. Even the more liberal websites like Huffington Post. Hmmm…so in this case, it’s okay to call it a baby, but if you’re referring to the subject of an abortion, you call it a fetus? What’s the difference? Well, in one instance, the baby is desired, so you can call it a baby. In the other instance, it’s not desired, so in order to assuage the guilt, you can call it a fetus. Dehumanize someone and it’s easier to do away with it. Like how the Nazis dealt with the guilt of killing millions of Jews during WWII.
